2006-08-31 [Evilmonk]: Spectacular Marc, simply awesome. I have to admit, I think you got it. I can't describe the sense of satisfaction I have right now. I, in NO way, mean this as bragging, but this is just stellar art. ALL the art has been great, but I am noticing as the stakes get higher, the work gets a little more detailed...a little more care may be put into it. This is exactly what I was thinking of when I started this little get together. Win or lose I can walk away from this with no regrets whatsoever.

2006-08-31 [TheRogue]: I'm looking at the organic nature of my piece, versus the technical aspect of yours.. I think it's up in the air. I wanted for you to enjoy what i did, because you always asked me if i pushed myself with what i showed you.. this time i can say yes i did. Thank you for that, I wanted to do something outside of my known ability, (them gelflings were a PAIN) and that's why i picked TDC for a subject.. I started it yesterday and finished coloring it today. I was really sweating this contest and was almost going to forfeit..time just not on my side these days.. but i'm glad to do it now.. do not sell yourself short, matt. Your piece rocked my @$$ when i saw it.. (even if i did get a little sinking feeling seeing the 'wiki changes' box with the EVE 3 link to it..heheh i was really worrying about your entry and how cool it would be) This was a battle to be remembered, this whole tournament.. I forsee many more in the future..congratulations everyone!

I wouldn't call it selling myself short. I love...I MEAN LOVE what I did. And I think I'll get a vote or two but I am really acknowledging that your piece has a lot of things working for it. Maybe more so. Who knows? The judges will do thier thing and all I am admiting right now is that no matter what happens this is a battle that no-one can be ashamed of if they lose. 
Actually I have just bet quite heavily on myself. LOL
Believing in yourself, no matter what. Thats the nature of this beast. I am ALMOST thinking of getting in the next one. NAH!!! I'm beat right now and there still might be a round left to go, where the stakes are even higher. A break might be good! LOL
